Easton welcomes Clarets link

Hamilton defender Brian Easton has welcomed reports linking him with a move to the Premier League with Burnley.

The 21-year-old Scotland B international has been linked with a £1.5million switch to Turf Moor.

Easton has made over 100 appearances during three years in the Hamilton first team and would be interested in following compatriot Steven Fletcher to the Lancashire club.

"It's every player's dream to play at the top level and it doesn't get any bigger than the Premiership," he told the Daily Record.

"I'm thrilled that Burnley are interested in me.

"I don't know what will happen, but Accies chairman Ronnie McDonald has always said if a big move came up then he wouldn't stand in my way.

"I know I still have a lot to learn but I feel I'm ready to make the step and follow the rest of the Scottish lads down south."
