Easton hopes for long run

urnley defender Brian Easton is hoping his performance in Tuesday's 3-0 home win over Barnsley can earn him a run in the team.

Easton made his league debut for the Clarets after Danny Fox's ever-present record was ended by a thigh injury.

And the Scotland under-21 international produced an impressive display at left-back and took his chance with aplomb.

Easton said: "It's about biding your time waiting for a chance and I think now that I have done that it's going to give the gaffer a wee bit of a headache.

"Foxy has done really well this season and every defence that's been out has done really well so far. But you want to give the gaffer a headache and we'll see what happens.

"You've got to look at the big picture and it's all about Burnley and how far and how well we can do in this league."
