Rangers hope to complete their first incoming transfer for almost two years after holding talks with Burnley winger Chris Eagles. The former Manchester United player met club officials at Murray Park on Wednesday evening. Rangers revealed Eagles, who has been linked with Bolton and Sunderland, had returned to England to reflect on his future following talks with Smith and Ibrox chief executive Martin Bain. The player, who has been earmarked for a role on the right side of the Rangers midfield, would see his wages reduced if he stayed at Burnley due to a clause in his contract triggered by the Clarets` relegation.
