The speculation continues regarding our players, and the latest sees Chris Eagles linked with SPL club Rangers once they've sold Kevin Thomson to Middlesbrough. Gordon Strachan is expected to spend £2 million on the former Hibs midfielder and that would clear Walter Smith to make a move for Eagles who, according to the Scottish press, was the star of our Premier League season who was unable to prevent us from being relegated.Eagles had previously been linked with Celtic whilst Blackpool were a club wanting to take him on loan. There are also suggestions that the Bolton manager would be keen to take him to the Reebok, although he would surely prove to expensive for the cash strapped club.Meanwhile, despite all the speculation, he was in the starting line up at Oldham last night and with Brian Laws suggesting that he doesn't want or need to sell any players it would take a big bid for Eagles, or anyone else, to change that.
