Eagles rumours won't go away
Once again this morning Chris Eagles is being linked with a move to Everton although it appears that neither club know too much about it. Steven Pienaar's likely departure to either Chelsea or Tottenham, despite Harry Redknapp claiming Spurs wouldn't be bidding the day before an offer was accepted, has seen this story resurface.Eagles has now been with Burnley for two and a half years and I think he's been on his way to Everton, if you believe speculation, in just about every transfer window since so it is no surprise to see it back again, even though there have been strong suggestions that David Moyes has no interest.Still, it was a first task for new manager Eddie Howe following his firs training session and the press conference yesterday, and the new man at Turf Moor said: "We want to keep all our good players here. If we want to be strong we have to keep our best players."I would be very surprised if Eagles wasn't still a Burnley player after the closure of this transfer window, these latest rumours appear well wide of the mark.
