Eagles flying high for Clarets
Chris Eagles was on target as Burnley ended their pre-season tour of Singapore with a hard-fought 1-0 victory in the FIS Asian Challenge Cup.[LNB] The former Manchester United winger has been in fine form in Asia, scoring in the two build-up games to the showpiece final against a Singapore select side comprising many of the country's under-23 stars.[LNB]And he sealed a fine work-out for the Clarets with the 50th-minute strike that sent the Clarets on their way to victory at the Jalan Besar Stadium.[LNB]Eagles gave substitute keeper Shahril Jantan no chance with a drilled, right-foot free-kick into the bottom corner to settle a tight game.
