Eagles Derby performance wins place in League team
Chris Eagles scored the first two goals for Burnley on Saturday at Pride Park against Derby County and his performance has won him a place in the Championship Team of the Week. Eagles was very much one of the stars of the performance and took the headlines as he scored both equalisers before the Clarets went on to win 4-2 with further goals from Wade Elliott and Chris McCann.His performance, and his goals, were noted and he becomes the latest Burnley player to win a pllace in the Football League's Championship Team of the Week.The players selected this week come from eleven different clubs with the two hat trick stars of the Easter weekend, Scott McDonald of Middlesbrough and Norwich's Simeon Jackson both named.The full team is: Scott Loach (Watford), Angel Rangel (Swansea), Darren Purse (Millwall), Jeffrey Bruma (Leicester), Jlloyd Samuel (Cardiff), Lee Williamson (Sheffield United), Neil Danns (Crystal Palace), Adel Taarabt (QPR), Chris Eagles (Burnley), Scott McDonald (Middlesbrough), Simeon Jackson (Norwich).
