Eagles and Mears heading for Asia

urnley have confirmed that Tyrone Mears and Chris Eagles have been included in a full-strength 24-man squad for the tour of Singapore.[LNB] Winger Eagles was linked with a move to Rangers earlier this week but turned down a move to Ibrox and defender Mears has been nursing a hamstring strain.[LNB]However, the Clarets confirmed in a statement: "Eagles will travel with the rest of Brian Laws' senior squad for the three-match trip after rejecting a move to Scottish Premier League champions Rangers.[LNB]"And Mears will also fly out on Saturday after missing the Clarets' opening two pre-season friendlies with a hamstring strain."[LNB]Meanwhile, Laws hopes to complete a deal for a goalkeeper by the start of next week following a delay at the player's parent club.
