Eagles and Mears can speak to Bolton

Burnley Football Club, having rubbished the speculation last night as a ridiculous rumour, have now confirmed that both Chris Eagles and Tyrone Mears have been given permission to speak to Bolton Wanderers. Neither will play in this afternoon's game at Torquay although both are still with the squad. Burnley have agreed a deal with Bolton Wanderers of around £3m for the pair after failing to persuade either of them to sign new contracts with the club. Both players have expressed a desire to leave immediately, and, with them able to walk for nothing at the end of the season, Burnley have regrettably been forced to let them go. The money received for them will go into the squad with new signings expected early next week.
