Dyche to change tack?

Burnley gaffer Sean Dyche has strongly hinted that a change of tactics is imminent as the Clarets try to end their away day blues at Stoke City on Saturday.

The Clarets have managed to bag a solitary point on their travels so far this season and Sean Dyche is intent on redressing the balance when Burnley visit the Britannia Stadium to take on Mark Hughes's fast improving Potters at the weekend.

Last season's leading Championship goalscorer Andre Gray has so far been noticeable by his recent absence in the Clarets' line up.

 A four match FA ban put paid to Gray's early season opportunities and Clarets' boss Sean Dyche was forced to revert to a 4-5-1 formation in Gray's absence.

The possibility of Dyche reverting to his favoured 4-4-2 formation looks to be on the cards.

Dyche reflecting on the City game and the aftermath of recent away performances gave the strongest possible hint that changes are imminent ahead of the Clarets' visit to the Potteries;

“It’s another chance, it’s another game, different build up, mentality, we’ve got to rethink our mentality away from home and what we’re about, rethink how we can take maybe different shapes, different formats, personnel.

“The definition of madness is always doing what you’ve always done and expecting a different outcome.

“Not completely rethink, there are certain key core values of what we represent, but there might be different ways of expressing that on the road. We have to do that.”

If Burnley can turn around their abysmal away form and continue their impressive performances at Turf Moor there is every possibility the Clarets can maintain their status in the top flight of English football for next season. (TEC).
