Despite his good form for the Championship side, Duff was not named in Nigel Worthington's squad for the World Cup qualifier against San Marino.[LNB]Northern Ireland chalked up a comfortable 3-0 victory in midweek and 30-year-old Duff is considering his options.[LNB]"I spoke to Nigel and said that as I have a young family and at the age I am now, I would rather not travel if I was not going to be involved, " Duff told BBC Radio Lancashire.[LNB]"In my last couple of games I sat in the stand, which I do not want to do as it is a lot of time away from home.[LNB]"I have not written off playing for them again but it his (Worthington's) decision and I know if I am not playing well for Burnley I will never be picked."[LNB]Meanwhile, George McCartney is definitely out of Northern Ireland's World Cup qualifier against Poland at Windsor Park next month.[LNB]The Sunderland defender is suspended for the match after being booked in the 3-0 victory over San Marino in midweek.[LNB]Worthington was considering questioning the decision but the Irish Football Association have confirmed that yellow cards cannot be rescinded.[LNB]McCartney will now sit out the game along with Rangers duo Steven Davis and Kyle Lafferty, who are also banned.[LNB][LNB]
