Burnley defender Michael Duff is expecting a stern test when his side open their npower Championship campaign at home to Nottingham Forest.
Both sides are among the favourites to win promotion this season after the Clarets' foray into the top flight and Forest's play-off failure last term.
Duff rates Billy Davies' men highly but stressed that failing to get off to a winning start would not be disastrous.
He told Press Association Sport: "Forest are one the favourites and it's important that we start well but it`s not the be-all and end-all.
"I think the year we got promoted in 2008/09 we had two points after four games and got thumped twice.
"But obviously everybody is looking forward to starting the season on a positive note and then trying to kick on from there."
