Duff ready for first-team fight

Burnley defender Michael Duff is relishing the challenge of reclaiming his place in the side. The long-serving centre-back has been sidelined since suffering a calf strain in the Clarets' opening-day win over Nottingham Forest. However, he is edging closer to full fitness and looks set to come into contention for Saturday's home clash with Preston. "I will look forward to it," Duff said of the challenge that lies ahead. "Having done a whole pre-season and then missing out so early was disappointing so I am raring to go again now. It's up to me to work hard and wait for my chance."
