Driver can do better than Burnley - Jefferies

Hearts manager Jim Jefferies has told Andrew Driver he will attract the interest of bigger clubs than Burnley if he continues to impress for the Edinburgh club. Jambos bosses rejected an offer from the Clarets after the Championship side failed to meet their valuation of the 22-year-old winger. And even though the highly-rated young player may be unable to secure a move elsewhere this summer, Jefferies defended the club`s decision not to budge on their asking price. He told Hearts.TV: "The club have got a value on him and, like a lot of players, you have to understand that when they are under contract. "They (Burnley) did not offer what the club was looking for so the one good thing to come out of it is that he's here and he's a top player. We're delighted to have him. "Some clubs in the present stage of football have to go and sell players for less than they are worth because they are struggling. But if we're not under such a situation, and we've got a value for the player, then we'll claim the right to redeem that money."
