Driver bid turned down

Burnley have made an offer of £1.5 million for Hearts' winger Andrew Driver that looks set to be turned down by the SPL club. It is reported that the Edinburgh club will rebuffed the bid and are looking for £2.5 million for the Oldham born player who has played for the England Under-21s but is now wanted by Scotland. They have previously turned down offers from both ourselves and Coventry and this is the third summer of links with Driver. Our former former manager certainly had offers turned down two years ago and was reportedly interested last year before turning his attentions instead to Fernando Guerrero.Driver has now played over 80 games for Hearts, and has one year remaining on a five year contract with them. Whether Burnley continue to pursue this remains to be seen.
