It was a day when he didn't make a mistake but kept Burnley in front as he made a superb save to deny Alex Baptiste before recovering to save the second effort from Gary Taylor-Fletcher.
It's won him both the man of the match vote and the player ratings on Clarets Mad and given him the maximum ten points towards the player of the year.
He polled 25.8% of the vote, just enough to give him first place over Brian Stock who was recalled to the side by caretaker boss Terry Pashley. Stock had a 23.7% share. 10.8% was enough to give Junior Stanislas with left back Ben Mee coming in fourth with 8.6% of the vote.
The player ratings brought a somewhat different result although Grant was again the winner with a rating of eight out of ten. Charlie Austin, scorer of the only goal, was second. His rating was 7.83, ahead of Stock who was third with a rating of 7.71. A rating of 7.56 out of 10 was enough to give captain Jason Shackell fourth place.
Apart from the ten points for Grant, Stock collects five points, there is three points for Austin, two for Stanislas and one each for Mee and Shackell. It's had little impact on the Clarets Mad Player of the Year Table with Austin and Grant still some distance ahead although Austin's lead at the top from Grant has been reduced to 16 points.
