As we keep a lookout for former Burnley players on the move this summer we can report that former youth team defender Danny Pitham has signed for Corby Town ahead of the 2010/11 season and will see a familiar face when he reports for pre-season training. Dean West - been with Corby since 2008Coventry born Danny was with the youth team at Burnley from 2002 to 2004. He played both at right-back and in the centre of defence but he most often played in the centre alongside Gary Carter. Both were released after two years and Danny signed for Hinckley United. Since then he's featured for clubs such as Nuneaton Borough, Bedworth United and Coalville Town.He returned to Hinckley in March this year from Nuneaton but has now taken the opportunity to sign for Blue Square Bet North club Corby Town whose manager Graham Drury was delighted with the capture.Drury said: "Danny Pitham is comfortable at right-back or centre half and will be a valuable addition to the squad. We are now only two weeks away from the players returning for pre-season and I am more than happy with the way things have worked out."Should Drury see Danny as an option at right back then he'll face competition from Dean West, another player to leave Turf Moor at the end of the 2003/04 season. Now 37, Dean (or Fred as Stan Ternent always called him) has been with Corby for two seasons after leaving the now defunct King's Lynn.
