Coyle rules out Riordan raid

Burnley manager Owen Coyle has rubbished reports suggesting the Clarets have increased their offer for Celtic striker Derek Riordan.

The 25-year-old former Hibernian star was the subject of a failed £400,000 bid by Coyle in January.

Coyle said of the rumour: "I don't know where it's come from, but it's certainly not from anyone at Burnley Football Club.

"It's well-documented I tried to sign him in January, but there's been nothing since."
