Burnley striker Steven Fletcher has earned praise from manager Owen Coyle after scoring his first Premier League goal for the Clarets in the win over Birmingham City.
The 22-year-old had already found the net three times in the Carling Cup following his summer arrival from Hibernian, before scoring in the 2-1 Turf Moor victory over the Blues.
Coyle told the Burnley Express: "I know he's scored his goals in the cup competition, but some of the roles I've asked him to play have been a thankless task, but he's had to do it for the sake of the team.
"There's no qualms, he goes and carries it out to the letter of the law for me and there's no doubt he's going to get better and better. That's why we brought him to the club.
"Fletcher's a top player, he'll get better with us and we've got a real player on our hands there.
"I've got no fear the goals will go flying in for him."
