Burnley manager Owen Coyle has conceded automatic promotion is now out of reach following Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town.
The solitary point left the fifth-placed Clarets nine points adrift of the top two and Coyle has now set his sights on consolidating a play-off berth.
"It was a wake-up call for us," he said of the performance. I think that was the 51st game of the season. We've used the fewest players in the Championship and we've got a small squad.
"I don't think there's any way we can catch the top two. At the end of the day, we want something tangible at the end of the season."
