Coyle on a limited transfer budget

The Clarets look in need of some new blood after the 2-0 defeat at Wolves on Sunday means they have gone seven matches without a win.[LNB]Coyle has nothing but praise for the commitment of his players during the first half of the season after gaining promotion to the Premier League.[LNB]But he concedes the smallness of his budget could make it difficult to strengthen, even if he hunts for signings below the top flight.[LNB]Coyle said: "We have the smallest squad in the division. We have got players who are ready to give everything they've got.[LNB]"We will continue to do our best game in and game out. We never got to our best against Wolves but, when we have done, we've shown we can win points.[LNB]"We've got 19 points and, let's be honest, it's 19 more points than anyone would have given us credit for.[LNB]"But we have a budget which is not even a Championship budget. If I go and try to sign players from the Championship I might struggle.[LNB]"Some of them are on better salaries than what our boys are on in the Premier League. The established clubs, like Blackburn and Bolton, have three times our budget[LNB]"But we've shown our quality. We will try to do it under those financial restrictions and what this group of players have done to this point is fantastic."[LNB]Burnley have taken only one point on their travels from nine games - a 3-3 draw at Manchester City - and have also conceded 29 goals in the process.[LNB]It is in stark contrast to their form at Turf Moor, where they have collected 18 of their 19 points.[LNB]But Coyle insisted: "It is not a psychological thing for me or a mental thing. Home and away it shouldn't be any different in terms of trying to win games.[LNB]"I accept everyone loves home advantage in the Premier League but it is still the same principles, defend well one end and take your chances at the other.[LNB]"What we have to do is add points on our travels to our home form and if we do that we will be fine.[LNB]"If we do that it (staying up) will be against all the odds and it will be an unbelievable achievement for the club."[LNB][LNB]
