Coyle calls for goal-line technology

Coyle - who was amazed Herman Hreidarsson was awarded a penalty in the Clarets' 2-0 defeat - admitted the more general use of television replays might prove disruptive in determining major decisions in open play.[LNB]But when it comes to whether the ball has crossed the line or not, Coyle believes the time has come to make the most of technology.[LNB]"I think this penalty (awarded after the challenge on Hreidarsson) will be easy for us to decide on," Coyle told the Lancashire Telegraph.[LNB]"But there will be times that we'll look at penalties and you and I might watch it four or five times and have a different opinion on it.[LNB]"How long do you wait before someone makes a decision? And even then it might be a wrong one.[LNB]"I'm certainly not for every contentious decision that happens because we've got the best game in the world and we've got it because it's fast and free-flowing.[LNB]"But goal-line technology is certainly black and white. If the ball crosses the line it's a goal, if it doesn't it's not."[LNB][LNB]
