Burnley boss Steve Cotterill has revealed his frustration at his lack of say in transfer dealings at Turf Moor as he prepares to lose striker Ade Akinbiyi.
The former Stoke City manager is tired of having the Clarets' best players sold from his squad without any real input, as top scorer Akinbiyi appears all set to move to Sheffield United in this month's transfer window.
It mirrors a similar situation to last season when Robbie Blake was offloaded to Birmingham City in a £1.25million deal and Cotterill would like to have his thoughts taken into consideration.
He said: "The worst thing is that we're never in charge here and since I've been here, I've never ever been in charge of what happens with players leaving.
"That's my ambition in my career, to one day be in charge of that."
