Burnley boss Steve Cotterill says that young striker Kyle Lafferty is not yet ready to be a regular starter for the Clarets, despite having broken into the Northern Ireland set-up.
The 19-year-old has scored just twice in 19 appearances for Burnley this term, with Cotterill feeling that there is still some untapped potential left in Lafferty.
He told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "Kyle is coming along nicely. He's not quite ready for the full mantle yet, but I'm delighted with him.
"Everybody can say he's not a kid because he plays for Northern Ireland, but he's probably played for them more on the bounce than he has for us.
"He's still only a young lad. I don't necessarily think, from week to week to week he's ready to play for Burnley."
