Cork gets England call

Just a substitute appearance at Fulham and a full ninety minutes at Aston Villa, and Jack Cork, on loan to the Clarets from Chelsea has won himself an England call up. Brian Laws spoke to England Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce, a former Nottingham Forest team mate, about Cork before signing him on loan and again he's won a call up to Pearce's squad for next week's European Championship qualifier against Greece.The game will be played next Tuesday 8th March at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium, and Cork is in a squad of 24 named by Pearce today which includes two new names, those of Villa striker Nathan Delfoneso (who came on as a sub against us yesterday) and Moses (that's Wigan's Victor and not the Bolton manager).The squad is: Frankie Fielding (Rochdale), Scott Loach (Watford), Alex McCarthy (Yeovil), Ryan Bertrand (Reading), Michael Mancienne (Wolves), Kyle Naughton (Middlesbrough), Micah Richards (Manchester City), Chris Smalling (Fulham), James Tomkins (West Ham), Kyle Walker (Tottenham), Tom Cleverley (Watford), Jack Cork (Burnley), Fabien Delph (Aston Villa), Jack Wilshere (Bolton), Fabrice Muamba (Bolton), Dan Gosling (Everton), Henri Lansbury (Watford), Victor Moses (Wigan), Lee Cattermole (Sunderland), Jack Rodwell (Everton), Andy Carroll (Newcastle), Nathan Delfoneso (Aston Villa), Daniel Sturridge (Chelsea), Danny Welbeck (Preston).
