Cork confident of Burnley success

On-loan Burnley midfielder Jack Cork is confident his side can claim a play-off berth this season.

The 21-year-old scored the winning goal in Saturday's 2-1 win at rock-bottom Preston as the Clarets underlined their promotion pedigree. Now four points adrift with two games in hand, Cork believes his side's top-six prospects are strong.

Cork said: "I'd like to think we could make the play-offs. We've got two games in hand and if we can get results from them we're right in there.

"With all the games coming I'm sure we can do it. We've got a real good team spirit and it feels like the momentum is growing to push us on to the end of the season.

"Hopefully if we can carry that on to the next lot of games we can put pressure on the teams above us and they can start dropping points and we can get in their faces."
