Burnley are sweating on the fitness of Besart Berisha amid fears that the striker could be sidelined for around six weeks with a knee injury.
The Albania striker suffered a knock while on international duty last week and Clarets boss Steve Cotterill is anxiously awaiting scans to discover the extent of the injury.
"Besart has hurt his knee playing for Albania and that one is a little but more serious than we thought," he said.
"That could be a five or six-weeker and we need to see the specialist on that one on Thursday."
Cotterill could only name four substitutes for Tuesday's 3-0 Carling Cup second round victory over Oldham Athletic at Turf Moor.
"We had five injured and one suspended, so anybody who thinks we have a plush squad might need to look at that one again," he added.
