Burnley have secured the long-term futures of Kyle Lafferty and Michael Duff after both players signed new deals to remain at Turf Moor until summer 2010.
Lafferty was the subject of a transfer bid from Celtic during the January window, but Clarets boss Steve Cotterill rejected the approach and claimed the teenage striker would remain with the Championship club.
Meanwhile, Northern Ireland international Duff was out of contract in the summer but has put pen to paper on a new three-and-a-half year deal.
"I am delighted to have signed both players on longer contracts," Cotterill told the club's official website.
"First of all, to have someone as young as Kyle come through the youth ranks and be in the squad is excellent.
"We are delighted with his progress and look forward to him playing a bigger part in the future of the club.
"And I think Michael has to date probably been our most consistent player."
