Clarets release for O'Connor

Burnley have parted company with former Bournemouth midfielder Garreth O'Connor who struggled to settle at Turf Moor.

The 29-year-old moved to the Clarets almost three years ago but started only 30 matches for the club.

Burnley boss Owen Coyle told the club's official website: "It's unfortunate for Garreth that it's never worked out and we wish him well.

"He's worked hard during my time here and just never got a chance."
