Clarets land left-back Fox

Burnley manager Brian Laws has made Danny Fox his fourth capture since he replaced Owen Coyle in the Turf Moor hot-seat just over two weeks ago.

The former Coventry City left-back joins the Clarets from Celtic for an undisclosed transfer fee.

After signing Frederic Nimani, Leon Cort and Nicky Weaver earlier in the month, Laws has handed Fox a deal that will keep him at the club until June 2013.

The 23-year-old former England Under-21 international started 22 games for the Bhoys after moving to Glasgow in the summer.

Laws had said earlier in the week: "Danny's one of quite a few players that I'm talking to and one thing very evident is that they all want to come here and that's very, very pleasing.

"He's one of many options, and if it's not Fox it will be someone else. No deal has been done yet and we've done a lot of talking with a lot of people.

"We can't say one player is the first choice because he might not want to come or we can't do the deal, so you've got to have options A, B and C.

"I'm trying to sign a few more players. I'm hoping to conclude at least a couple more players before the window shuts."
