The Football Association has fined Burnley £10,000 and handed the club a warning as to their future conduct.
The Clarets were told they had failed to ensure their players and/or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion in the Turf Moor clash with Preston North End in December.
Referee Lee Mason sent Joey Gudjonsson off in controversial circumstances in the game.
The official deemed that the Burnley player was guilty of stamping and the Icelandic star's dismissal led to two substitutes, Brian Jensen and Ade Akinbiyi, leaving the bench and coming on to the pitch to challenge the decision.
Burnley admitted the charge, but still face the wrath of the FA for a second time when their behaviour in the FA Cup defeat to Arsenal is examined.
