Clarets end Lucketti interest

Burnley boss Steve Cotterill has ended his interest in Sheffield United defender Chris Lucketti after discovering the veteran is only interested in a permanent move.
Cotterill is keen to bring in loan cover after losing John McGreal to a knee injury and enquired about the availability of Lucketti, who has had just 45 minutes of first-team action for the Blades this season.
"We would have been interested in taking Chris on loan, but from what I gather I don't think that he is keen on a loan," Cotterill told the Clarets' official website.
"I made a speculative phone call to (United manager) Neil Warnock the other week and I think the player wanted a permanent move, so it isn't one we can follow up and we won't be signing him."
