Burnley manager Owen Coyle is confident that new £3million signing Steven Fletcher will prove to be value for money at Turf Moor.
The Scotland striker is the first major purchase made by the Clarets after their promotion to the Premier League was confirmed last month.
Speaking about the former Hibernian striker, Coyle said: "Steven will show he is worth more than that kind of money.
"He is a young man, an international and a proven goalscorer.
"He leads the line well, he can drop short and can play off the shoulder. He has such a range of assets and attributes.
"Steven is a very accomplished player for someone of such a young age and I am delighted he is here.
"Whatever price has been paid, the player didn't pay it. They just have to go and show the ability that brought them to this club."
Meanwhile, Coyle has confirmed his club's interest in highly-rated Hamilton teenager James McCarthy.
