Clarets clinch Jensen coup

Burnley boss Stan Ternent has continued his summer rebuilding programme at Turf Moor with the capture of the former West Brom keeper Brian Jensen.

The Danish star has signed a two-year deal with the Clarets after being released by the Baggies at the end of last season.

Ternent had been keen to secure the services of a new keeper following his decision to release both Nik Michopoulos and Marlon Beresford at the end of last season.

"The gaffer is delighted to have signed him," Burnley's assistant manager Sam Ellis told the club's official website.

"He has been a target for some time and we've been patient with it and now we're happy to have him."
