Burnley manager Steve Cotterill has hit out at rumours linking teenage starlet John Cofie with a move to Liverpool.
The 15-year-old striker has been mentioned as a possible target for the Merseysiders, who were reportedly planning a £250,000 raid on the Championship club.
But Cotterill has warned the Reds and any other potential suitors that he intends to keep the highly-rated youngster at Turf Moor.
"Nothing has been agreed between us and Liverpool and if they think they can nick him for £250,000 there's no chance," he said.
"There are a lot of clubs looking at John Cofie but, unfortunately for them, he's ours.
"He's registered and on forms with us, so nobody can nick him, and that's really where it stands.
"I've had a few conversations but, other than that, he's our player. He's signed for us, irrespective of what anyone else says and does."
