Burnley manager Steve Cotterill is looking forward to working with Aston Villa midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba after agreeing to sign the Cameroon international on loan for the rest of the season.
The 25-year-old has endured a dismal time at Villa Park since being signed from Manchester United two years ago.
He has started only four games for the club in that time and has hardly even managed to win a place on the substitute's bench under Martin O'Neill's stewardship this term.
However, Clarets boss Steve Cotterill is confident he can get the best out of the player, telling the club's official website: "He's not played a lot of football but obviously, on the back of Micah Hyde leaving, we had to move to do something.
"Eric has good pedigree and we're hoping that, once we get him fit, he'll be a good addition to the squad for the rest of the season.
"It shows something about the boy's character that he's prepared to drop down from the Premiership to play for Burnley."
