Clarets wait on Eckersley fee

The Clarets signed the out-of-contract 20-year-old on a four-year deal last summer but United are still entitled to compensation for training costs as the player is under 24.[LNB]A tribunal committee met on Monday to discuss the matter but did not deliver a verdict, promising to do so "later this week".[LNB]Burnley are thought to have offered around £200,000 for a player United valued at around £1million.[LNB]Burnley manager Brian Laws said: "We had a very good hearing and put our case across. We remain hopeful of a positive outcome, but we must now await the verdict."[LNB]Eckersley is yet to make an impact at Turf Moor having so far been limited to just three appearances in cup competitions.[LNB][LNB][LNB]
