Burnley have bolstered their squad with the acquisition of Manchester City prospect John Guidetti. The Sweden Under-21 striker has joined on loan until January 3. Guidetti, 18, came onto Burnley's radar after scoring a hat-trick for City's reserves at Turf Moor last March. "We noticed him against our reserves when we had a very strong side out," said boss Brian Laws. "He did very well and scored a hat-trick against us and ran our centre-halves all over the place. "We couldn't believe how old he was. He's only a young boy but he's got a man's body and a mental strength. "Since then we've been keeping very close tabs on him. We wanted to get him on loan to get a good close look at him and see if he could bring something else to us."
