Clarets trio get Scotland call
Skipper Steven Caldwell has been rewarded for some fine form in Burnley's promotion campaign last season and receives his first call-up in over three years, while Steven Fletcher and Graham Alexander also make George Burley's squad.
The call-ups mean that all three players will be missing for the Clarets' final preparations for their maiden Premier League game with Stoke on August 15.
Brian Easton, Kevin McDonald and on-loan striker Alex MacDonald will also be absent from Turf Moor next week after being included in Scotland's U21 training camp.
