urnley striker Steven Thompson is hoping to force his way into Brian Laws' starting line-up for the opening game of the new season.[LNB] The 31-year-old made just one start in the Premier League last time around, but struck four goals in the last six matches and has scored in each of the Clarets first two pre-season friendlies, including Monday night's 2-1 win at Oldham.[LNB]Thompson said: "It's nice to get on the scoresheet again. It's about getting games under your belt, but I wouldn't try to hide it, it's nice to get among the goals and hopefully I can continue scoring them into the season.[LNB]"Last year Fletch had a very good season and took the main striking berth. It was frustrating but hopefully this time I will get a lot more opportunities and tweaking the system might help me."
