No sooner has the news been confirmed that Chris Eagles and Tyrone Mears are set to sign for Bolton Wanderers that we've been linked with one of Arsenal's young guns. The player in question is Jay Emmanuel-Thomas who played for Cardiff in the last match of last season at Turf Moor. Cardiff were the third club he'd been with on loan, having previously played for both Huddersfield Town and Blackpool. Arsene Wenger appears to be ready to let him go for a fee of around £1 million although he'd want a big sell on fee adding to that, and we are one of three Championship clubs, alongside Ipswich and Portsmouth, who have been linked with him. Eddie Howe said this week that he would like to bring in another two or three players, but with today's news that is now likely to be four or five. Next week we are told to expect new signings and we'll have to wait and see whether Emmanuel-Thomas is one of them.
