Clarets land Trippier

Burnley have been shopping at Manchester City again and this time returned with 20-year-old full back Kieran Tripper. Eddie Howe has moved swiftly to plug the gap left by the expected departure of Tyrone Mears and landed Tripper who has played in the Championship during two loan spells with Barnsley. Trippier, who is still to make the breakthrough at City, has also been capped by England at every level from under-18 to under-21. He's played against Burnley twice, featuring at right back in both of Barnsley's games against us last season. and he now joins the Clarets, and fellow City player Ben Mee, on a season long loan. The Bury born Trippier will feature tonight against Oldham.
