Clarets kick off at The Britannia

The Clarets, back in the top flight after a 33-year absence following their Championship play-off success over Sheffield United, then face champions Manchester United in their first home match. Everton then visit four days later before successive lucrative road trips to Chelsea and Liverpool respectively. Owen Coyle's side are on their travels again on October 17 as they head to Blackburn and they entertain Wigan on October 24. November 7 sees a trip to Manchester City before home games against Arsenal and Bolton on December 15 and Boxing Day which is followed by a clash with Everton at Goodison Park on December 28. The Clarets head to Old Trafford on January 16 and Bolton 10 days later before a visit from Chelsea at the end of the month. Away days at Arsenal and Wigan are scheduled for March 6 and 20 respectively while Bolton host Blackburn (March 27), Manchester City (April 3) and Liverpool (April 24) before bringing the curtain down on their season at home to Tottenham on May 9.
