Clarets keen to keep top talent

Relegation threatened Burnley have issued a hands-off warning over the potential sale of their prized assets this summer.[LNB] Chief executive Paul Fletcher insists the club will not be looking to cash in on their top talent, regardless of whether they manage to stay in the top flight or not.[LNB]Top scorer Steven Fletcher and winger Chris Eagles have stood out in the Clarets' battle to maintain their Premier League status this season, while defensive duo Clarke Carlisle and Tyrone Mears are also thought to be attracting interest from elsewhere.[LNB]Former manager Owen Coyle is believed to be keen on a reunion with Scotland international Fletcher, who he signed for a club-record £3million from Hibernian last summer.[LNB]Coyle is also thought to be targeting winger Wade Elliott but Burnley chief Fletcher is keen to fend off any potential suitors.[LNB]"It's part and parcel of Burnley as a club," he told the Lancashire Telegraph.[LNB]"People will think we are rich pickings for the wealthy teams but we intend to keep hold of our best players whether we are in the Premier League or Championship.[LNB]"We've got four games to go and we've still a reasonable chance of staying up."[LNB]Third-bottom Burnley are four points behind West Ham and five adrift of Wigan and Bolton.
