Clarets in talks with Easton

Reports claim the Clarets made a written bid in the region of £300,000 for the Scotland Under-21 international. Accies chairman Ronnie McDonald told the Daily Record: "We have opened discussions with Burnley. They will remain confidential but are ongoing." Easton, one of the stars of Hamilton's first Scottish top-flight season for 19 years last term, has already expressed a desire to follow Hibernian striker Steven Fletcher by moving south. He said earlier this week: "It's every player's dream to play at the top level and it doesn't get any bigger than the Premier League. "There have been so many lads heading down south over recent seasons and Steven is just the latest. I'm thrilled that Burnley are interested in me. "I don't know what will happen but Accies chairman Ronnie McDonald has always said if a big move came up then he wouldn't stand in my way. "I know I still have a lot to learn but I feel I'm ready to make the step and follow the rest of the Scottish lads down south."
