Burnley Football Club have finally confirmed this morning that Ally Beattie is the replacement for Andy Mitchell as the head physio at Turf Moor. He's actually been at Turf Moor since May with Mitch leaving on the Friday after the last game of last season.Alasdair Beattie (to give him his full name) spent ten years working with Spurs before moving to Manchester City in 2004 during Kevin Keegan's time as manager. He worked his way up at City and became the number one physio, a role he continued in until Mark Hughes made big changes to the medical department last summer.Ally spent last year working with the armed forces but the 43-year-old is now back in football with the Clarets. Brian Laws said on confirming the appointment: "He is highly qualified and has a lot of experience at the top level of the game."He will be an excellent addition to the staff. The players will be in good hands and we are delighted to have him with us."Ally will work alongside Luke Bussey, whilst Mitch remains officially out of the game. He remained at Burnley until the end of his contract after initially trying to move in January and it would come as no surprise if he ended up with a certain Premier League club. That club have now dropped the name of another former Burnley physio, that of Nick Worth, from their staff list.
