Guerrero, who spent time with Real Madrid earlier in his career, featured for Burnley during the club's recent pre-season trip to the United States. He has now earned a season-long loan move to Turf Moor from Independiente del Valle with the option of joining Owen Coyle's side permanently. Coyle is delighted to have signed the teenager and is confident Guerrero is capable of making an impact in the Premier League this season. "Fernando is an exciting player for just 19 years of age and we believe he has unbelievable potential," Coyle told the club's official website. "We have agreed a loan deal, subject to an option to buy him. "Obviously he is valued very highly by his club in Ecuador and if he comes in and shows us the quality we know he possesses I think he can go on to become a truly outstanding player." Guerrero becomes Burnley's sixth new signing of the summer, with David Edgar, Steven Fletcher, Richard Eckersley, Tyrone Mears and Brian Easton having also joined the Premier League new boys.
