Clarets chasing keeper Forster

urnley are closing in on the signing of highly-rated Newcastle goalkeeper Fraser Forster, according to reports.[LNB] Clarets boss Brian Laws has been chasing a new goalkeeper all summer and he is now thought to have switched his attentions to Forster.[LNB]The 22-year-old is highly-regarded at St James' Park, but he has found his way into the Newcastle first-team blocked by Steve Harper and Tim Krul.[LNB]Forster enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Norwich last season helping them win the League One title after keeping 21 clean sheets in 42 games.[LNB]Norwich were keen on bringing Forster back to Carrow Road before they finally ended up signing John Ruddy from Everton.[LNB]The move has left the road clear for Burnley to bring Forster to Turf Moor and Laws is thought to be in talks with Newcastle about a season-long loan deal.[LNB]Burnley are believed to be waiting for the green light from Newcastle to seal the deal with Laws admitting recently he was close to bringing a new signing to the club.
