Clarets capture Delfouneso
Burnley have signed highly-rated Aston Villa striker Nathan Delfouneso on loan until the end of the season.
The Clarets have been on the lookout for a new frontman after Charlie Austin, signed from Swindon in January, was ruled out for the rest of the campaign with a dislocated shoulder.
And they have swooped to secure the services of Delfouneso, who has made 16 appearances for Villa this season.
The 20-year-old is a regular for England Under-21s, with many tipping him to earn full international honours in future.
He has earned the Players` Young Player of the Year award at Villa for the past two seasons.
Should the paperwork go through in time, Delfouneso will make his debut for Burnley in Tuesday`s clash with Hull.
