Clarets appeal Carlisle dismissal
urnley have lodged an appeal over Clarke Carlisle's dismissal in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Millwall.[LNB] Carlisle was show a red card just seven minutes into the game, and boss Brian Laws is hopeful the veteran will not face a ban.[LNB]"We are obviously disappointed and having analysed it, we feel it is harsh," he told his club's official website.[LNB]"We are aware of the need to be sure about such an appeal, but we feel strongly enough that there is a case to answer to overturn the decision."[LNB]There has been some immediate good news for Laws, with scans showing defender Andre Bikey has not broken a rib as was first feared.
